Middlesex improved its 2014 REF position in terms of increasing the scale, scope and quality of outcomes and producing impactful research. In 2021, more staffing requests were processed than in 2014, and nearly 100% of eligible staff were submitted in 12 departments. The jury evaluated 41% of the submitted works as “world-class” (4*) and 43% as “internationally excellent” (3*).
Accommodation
Middlesex University offers accommodation across four sites, which offer approximately 1,200 beds managed by the Central Accommodation Office. Full-time international students are guaranteed a place in university accommodation in their first year of study and accommodation varies from traditional style halls to flats grouped around a shared kitchen/dining area.

The Middlesex University London campus is located in the north-west of London, and all disciplines except medicine and nursing are located on this campus.
Services for International Students
Middlesex University offers an airport pick-up and drop-off service before the start of term, and an international orientation program introduces students to the University and London through lectures, events and tours.
